Dad, this one's for you.
Japan may be catching up to the Hungarians when it comes to a haircut. For under 20.00 USD. I received one of the best damn haircuts in my life. Putting aside the beguiling asian scissor techniques the first of three barbers possesed (yes, i said three), I was amazed at their sense of urgency towards my hair care needs. I, feeling like a critical care patient in the E.R was given that much serious attention. While Barber I was finishing my head, Barber II in the meantime, was prepping my shaving creams and moisturizers. After throwing about a dozen steaming towels on my face, he not only shaved my beard, but also my forehead, eybrows, the space between my eybrows, and my earlobes! In true tag team fashion, Barber III was called in for relief, and concluded with a swift razor to my sideburns.
The shop is in Nagano (left), by the train station.
See you there.
